What you can do

Would you like to get involved in helping to look after Northumberland’s wildlife?

To learn more about your local wildlife sites and take part in practical tasks you could join a wildlife group or volunteer with one of the many conservation charities based in the county. You could even introduce a few simple measures in your own garden, such as a pond or flowers for butterflies, helping to create small havens for wildlife.

Alternatively, help the wildlife organisations of Northumberland to gain a better understanding of the populations and locations of the many different species found in our beautiful county by letting us know when and where you have seen wildlife. Finally you could support one of the many organisations that work to conserve our natural wildlife and heritage by becoming a member.
