Save our Squirrels

Save our Squirrels (SoS) is currently the largest single-species conservation project in the UK. Managed and directed by Northumberland Wildlife Trust, and part funded by the Heritage Lottery Fund, SoS is focused around 16 designated Red Squirrel Reserves in Northumberland, Cumbria, North Yorkshire and Lancashire. These reserves represent the last red squirrel strongholds on mainland England, and through a program of conservation, education, and public involvement we work to help secure the future of our native red squirrels.
