Help to record the species in Northumberland

How often have you seen wildlife and eagerly shared the information with your family, friends or colleagues? Well, one of the simplest ways to get involved in wildlife conservation is to also tell us.

By sharing information on the wildlife you have seen you can help conservation organisations understand how nature is changing and take action to protect wildlife, habitats and landscapes.

Whilst we are particularly interested in sightings of species included in the Northumberland Biodiversity Action Plan (BAP) we also value information on the locations of all types of wildlife in the county, large or small, common or rare.

Record your species sightings online on the Exploring Your Environment (EYE) Project website at www.eyeproject.org.uk.

EYE Project PosterYou can also help us to encourage others to get involved. A series of posters have been developed by the Northumberland Biodiversity Partnership and the EYE Project which can be put up in public places such as your local library, community centre or work notice board. An accompanying leaflet has also been developed to provide further information.

Download copies of the posters and leaflets from this web page or contact Northumberland’s biodiversity coordinator.
