National Biodiversity Network

The National Biodiversity Network (NBN) is a central UK store of wildlife information which was developed by, and for, the many wildlife recording organisations in the country. It aims to make wildlife data accessible and in a digital, exchangeable format via the online NBN Gateway.

Collected records can be used to help nature conservation so it is important that people know they exist. The NBN works with local record centres and national schemes and societies to help their recorders improve standards and to assist them with sharing data.
