Habitat Groups

Six habitat groups have been set up by the partnership steering group to ensure that:

  • those habitats and species most at risk in the county are included in the Biodiversity Action Plan,
  • the habitat and species action plans have appropriate targets and actions,
  • appropriate projects are developed to deliver identified targets and actions and
  • targets and actions are continuously updated

Each group is made up of environmental professionals that operate in Northumberland and are particularly involved with the conservation of habitats and species associated with their group.
